Best Quality Towing Companies in USA

Almost everybody has experienced the misfortune of a vehicle breaking down. It tends to happen when you least expect it, and it is not at all fun to deal with. The normal response to these situations, mainly if you are on the road, is to call a towing service to take your vehicle to a repair shop. Other times to consider contacting an automotive towing company:

Keys Locked. A fairly common incidence, where the 1st instinct is to call a spouse or family member to bring a spare. However, a spare key is not always accessible, and a good towing company can generally respond in minutes with the tools required to fast unlock a vehicle.

Jump-Start. In these situations, a person does not need to go through the uncomfortable and potentially unsafe process of trying to solicit a jump-start from a stranger, nor do they need to walk miles to get fuel from the near gas station. Towing companies can usually fix these issues within minutes.

Tire Changing. Often times, switching out a flat tire for an extra tire is not as easy as one would think, and can be dangerous if on the side of a busy road. Calling a towing company is often the quickest and safest way to have an extra tire installed.

Semi Truck Towing. Semi Truck It's not always passenger vehicles that need help on the roadways. Some Towing Companies are ready to handle semi truck and trailer towing and recovery. There may even be more serious issues where a crane is essential to extract a large semi truck.

Load Shifting. A well ready towing service should also have the ability to realign and restack an uneven load being carried by a semi truck.

Underwater Recovery. Not all breakdown and accidents happen on the road. A well prepared towing service will be able to reach your vehicle wherever it may have ended up.

Vehicle Auctions. Infrequently, these companies will come across vehicles that have been abandoned and need to be removed. If a person is in the market for a new vehicle, these towing auctions may be a huge place to buy at very low cost.

  1. How much does it actually save you to be a member of an auto club? Do localized tow truck companies have auto club style membership services? Is it better to use a local or national company?

  2. I would never ask a stranger to jump-start my car. Especially out in the middle of nowhere. That's just a recipe for a horror movie. Thank goodness for tow trucks.

  3. I was by myself when I had a flat a few weeks ago and ended up flagging a stranger down to help me put on the spare. They were nice, but I was still really nervous and I did not like the experience. If I had know I could have just called a tow company to help me out with it I totally would have! Thanks for the advice, hopefully I never have a flat again, but if I do I'll just call a tow truck to fix it :) http://www.aatowing.net/towing-service/carson.cfml

  4. For some reason, one of the things that I look on in awe is towing. My dad had an F-350 at one point and needed it towed. The tow truck came and lifted this 7,000 pound car onto it's bed like it was a leaf.

  5. We just need to tow our junk car to the wrecker. Fortunately there are a lot of option for both in our area. I think the one we're going with does both the towing and the wrecking. Thiago | http://www.parkwaywrecker.com/TOWING.html

  6. I remember when we got stuck in the middle of nowhere and were considering calling a towing company. I didn't have any of their numbers in my phone though. It's a scary place to be, being stuck in the middle of nowhere with a car that barely works! http://www.roadwaytowing.ca/en/about_us.html

  8. I cannot tell you how many times a tow truck has saved me! I've had blown out tires, busted engines in the middle of the night, and keys that I've locked in my car. Basically I've been a victim to almost everything on your list. Every time I've had a great experience with my tow truck driver. I am so grateful to each of them.

  9. My brother is trying to find a new job and something that doesn't take a lot of training. He enjoys working with cars and I think that he would like working with a towing company. I just need to get him to take a resume into a towing service near Anchorage, AK. http://www.webbstowingalaska.com/about

  10. I have a good friend who owns a towing company, and he loves it. He was talking to me about the other day, and it sounds like it would be a hard job that would require a lot of skill, and a good work ethic. He makes good money though, and that seems to out weigh the hard work.

  14. I didn't know that towing companies could help you when you lock your keys in your car and when you need a jump. I've always thought of these companies as just towing vehicles. This is great to know! I would love to find a good company near me that I can rely on in case I need any of these services.

  17. I had no idea towing companies would do a jump-start if you needed one! I absolutely hate having to jump my car, and it always seems to happen at the worst possible times. I'd happily pay a tow company's fee than I would wake up someone at 2 or 3 in the morning when my car needs a jump.

  18. Working for a towing company seems like it would provide you with a pretty diverse work environment. I am glad that we have this service though. There are way too many inconsiderate drivers out there.

  19. I didn't know tow truck drivers had that many responsibilities. It's crazy to read about! They do so much more than just drive tow trucks. I think that is so awesome. I have a new respect for them.

  21. Having a car break down is the worst. We were in the middle of Death Valley, and our car broke down, leaving us stranded on the road for a couple of hours. It was over 120 degrees the entire time, and my kids really couldn't handle it. I'm just glad we were able to get towed to the nearest city. http://www.countrycitytow.com

  23. This will come in handy for my trip this weekend. We are buying a car in Missouri that's broken. The goal is to fix it up and give my son something to drive. We have to tow it back home first though. http://www.countrycitytow.com

  25. I have my towing company's number stored in my phone, and it has saved me on numerous occasions. One time, my little car broke down in the desert thirty miles from the nearest town and water. Instead of spending the night in my vehicle and thirsty, I was booked into a motel within a couple hours. I will never leave town without first looking up the local towing companies. I was unaware that they will do lock-outs, which is particularly convenient since my town's police department no longer does.

  26. I have had my fair share of experiences with towing companies. Being the forgetful type I often lock my keys in my car. Like you said, hopefully you have a family member or something that has a spare but often they can't locate the spare or can't come anytime soon. Towing companies have been the most friendly people I've dealt with in those situations no matter where I was living, not to mention the fastest and unlike many locksmiths are open 24 hours a day. http://www.nktowing.net/assistance.html

  28. If I get in a car accident and have my car towed, do I need to indicate such things to my insurance agent? I have copies of those receipts from the tow truck company. I am just trying to figure out if towing has any bearing on my insurance?

  29. I think that it's great that they realize that not all accidents happen on the road. I saw a car this morning getting towed out of a ditch next to the road. There was only one car involved, so I guess the guy just wasn't paying attention when he drove in. http://www.a1towingandhauling.net/en/towing_services.html

  31. It's nice to have information for a company that can do a variety of towing services. My friend's car was submerged into a lake because she didn't put the emergency break on. The car was parked on the downward slope of a hill and it rolled right into the lake. The towing company that she called was able to get it out of there in no time.
